At Daffodil Preschool, we understand that the brain activity of a preschooler is at its peak, more than it can ever reach in his/her entire life thereafter. Hence, we have developed our own method of learning which is a combination of three methods - Montessori Method, Multiple Intelligence Method and Play Way Method.



The aspects of the Montessori Method, which we have adopted include reality-based hands-on activity guided by the mind, as fundamental to the development of children. It has 5 distinct areas, namely: Practical Life, Sensorial, Cultural, Language and Mathematics. We use whole math and whole language concepts and encourage the use of mathematics and language concepts in every activity. We believe that there is no correct way for using materials and we encourage new approaches in every process oriented activity.

The Multiple Intelligence Theory we have adopted is based on the faith that human beings possess at least 8 unique intelligences - Linguistic, Logical, Spatial, Bodily, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal & Naturalistic. Children learn new information better with these intelligences they possess-and we at Daffodil nurture and strengthen these multiple intelligences in children. A love for learning is inculcated in them, from which learning itself will surely follow.

At Daffodil Pre School, we use play as a major means of incorporating magical thinking in children, which in turn helps foster healthy creative expression and emotional growth. We believe that regular creative activity encourages spontaneity in children. It is often through play that children learn to make sense of the world around them! Play, in all its forms, is always constructive and contributes to the intellectual growth of children in addition to allowing them to adjust to their social surroundings. It thereby helps build up their budding personalities.
